Beth Parker is a candidate for Ward 1 with Shrewsbury sensibilities who believes in a common sense approach to local government that prioritizes fiscal responsibility, transparency, and a citizen-first approach. My platform is centered around the idea that government should work for the people, ensuring the well-being and prosperity of all citizens.

• Establish regular town hall meetings and community forums to actively listen to the concerns and goals of residents

• By focusing on practical solutions, Beth aims to preserve the values that represent Shrewsbury for many years to come

 

Fiscal Responsibility

• Support responsible policies like a Balanced Budget ordinance

• Prioritize long term economic health and a comprehensive Capital plan for infrastructure improvements

• Regularly review department spending to identify areas for efficiency and cost saving measures

 

Transparency

• Strive to make government actions open, accessible and understandable to the public

• Work towards establishing accountability to ensure elected officials and government agencies are making sound decisions for Shrewsbury
